Rational Intuition: Strategic Thinking & Gut Instinct for Successful Leadership

Thursday 1 December, 1-2pm

How do successful people make good decisions?

Professor Todd Landman brings together his unique blend of academic expertise and insights from the world of magic in an intriguing and revelatory exploration of good decision-making.

In blending the notions of homo economicus from modern economicsand unconscious competence from learning theory, Professor Landman presents a new approach to decision-making that speaks to today’s complex and rapidly changing business environment. Its main insights are reinforced through unusual and uncanny demonstrations that draw in his work as a professional entertainer and Associate of the Inner Magic Circle.

Speaker: Professor Todd Landman, Director of the Institute for Democracy and Conflict Resolution at the University of Essex

Chair: Matthew Taylor, chief executive, RSA
